Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a member of a Baptist church to live at Baptist Village?

No. A person does not have to be Baptist or belong to a particular church to live on our campus.

What are the age requirements?

55 or better.

Why choose not-for-profit?

Because Baptist Village Communities is a not-for-profit entity, we reinvest our revenue after expenses back into our communities, where it belongs. Residents have peace of mind, knowing that not-for-profit financial controls and reduced operating costs translate into lower, stabilized monthly fees. This reinforces the BVC mission and vision.

Do I pay to use the transportation services?

Regularly-scheduled trips are planned for shopping, entertainment and other activities at no additional cost to residents. Individual roundtrip transportation is available for a nominal fee.

Are there scheduled activities?

Our campuses offer many activity opportunities scheduled for residents. You are free to participate in the activities that fit your desires and lifestyle. Activities include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, gardening, and day trips.

Can I have friends and relatives over to visit? What about overnight guests?

Absolutely! Your guests are always welcome to visit you. Overnight guests may stay with you in your home or rent a furnished guest apartment – call the Village near you to learn more about rates.

Why do you not call your villages “retirement centers” or “nursing homes”?

One of the ways Baptist Village Communities leads the way in the aging services field is by the use of what we feel is better, more accurate terminology. To view a list of the new terminology we use, click here.
