POSITION SUMMARY/CHARACTERISTICS:

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE POSITION DUTIES:

  • Prepare and make daily bank deposits.
  • Post all payments and charges to resident accounts for assisted living and residential living residents.
  • Preparation and delivery of monthly statements to assisted living and residential living residents.
  • Maintain information in billing software for admissions, discharges, room changes as well as rate changes.
  • Review accounts receivable aging reports regularly, monthly at a minimum, and communicate with residents regarding any past due amounts and/or returned payments. Meet with residents as needed.
  • Initiate ACH payments in the banking system monthly. Maintain accurate financial information on residents.
  • Send collection letters as needed on delinquent accounts.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE POSITION DUTIES:

  • Review and code accounts payables invoices resolving any differences with the appropriate manager.
  • Process accounts payable, print checks and mail to vendors. Communicate with vendors as needed.
  • Maintain accounts payable and vendor files
  • Assist with maintenance of vendor data for preparation of filing Form 1099s.
  • Track monthly capital expenditures and submit to Home Office.
  • Monitor invoices for sales tax and track invoices with no sales tax for calculation of use tax.

  • Ability to maintain integrity and trust among leadership and staff
  • Responsible for testing of software system following an upgrade
  • Must be strategic thinker, self-motivated, and have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Experience with Great Plains / My Unity preferred but not required
